After a long hiatus, Scream returned in 2011 with Wes Craven’s final film. The opening is incredibly meta, poking fun at both the horror genre and the Scream franchise itself. It’s funny, gory, and intentionally confusing, leaving viewers wondering what they’re actually watching. Very original indeed.
